Privacy Policy

How RavQuote handles personal information and business content when you visit the website, use free tools, request a demo or use the fabrication quoting service.

1. Scope and overview

This Policy explains how RavQuote may collect, use, store and disclose personal information when people interact with the RavQuote website, free engineering tools, demo forms, support channels and quoting application. RavQuote is intended for business use, but some information handled through the service can still identify individuals.

2. Information RavQuote may collect

Depending on how RavQuote is used, information may include account names and email addresses; company and workspace details; customer and supplier contact details entered by users; subscription and billing identifiers; quote, RFQ, purchase-order and job information; uploaded files; support communications; security/session records; and website usage data such as pages viewed, referral sources and campaign tags.

How information is collected

Information may be provided directly through account registration, demo/support forms, uploads and normal product use. Some technical and usage information is generated when the website or application is used. RavQuote may also receive limited information from service providers where necessary to provide billing, email, authentication, hosting or other requested functionality.

3. Customer business content

Business content uploaded to RavQuote remains the customer’s content. This can include RFQs, purchase orders, PDFs, spreadsheets, DXFs, quote history, customer information, costing methods, supplier/rate information and job-cost feedback. RavQuote processes that content to provide the features requested by the workspace.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have authority to upload customer, supplier, drawing and commercial information to RavQuote and for reviewing outputs before using them in production or commercial decisions.

Payments

Subscription checkout and billing are handled through a third-party payment processor. RavQuote does not need to store full payment-card numbers in its application database. The payment provider handles payment credentials under its own security and privacy practices.

4. How information is used

Information may be used to provide and administer RavQuote, create and protect accounts/workspaces, operate quoting and job workflows, perform requested document or AI-assisted analysis, send requested transactional emails, provide support, manage subscriptions, improve usability, detect misuse, maintain security records and understand website/product performance.

Service providers and disclosure

RavQuote may use specialist providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, payments, authentication, AI-assisted processing, analytics and related technical services. Information is shared only to the extent reasonably required to provide or protect the service, or where disclosure is required by law, professional advice, fraud/security response or a legitimate business transaction.

International processing

Some technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. The countries involved may vary as providers and infrastructure change. RavQuote should take reasonable steps appropriate to the service and applicable law when engaging providers that handle personal information.

Website analytics and device storage

RavQuote uses first-party website analytics to understand visits, popular pages, free-tool usage, referral sources and campaign performance. Browser or session storage may be used to distinguish activity within a browsing session. Analytics is intended to improve the product and website rather than build third-party advertising profiles.

5. Security, retention and deletion

RavQuote uses practical access controls including authenticated workspaces, server-side permissions, protected sessions, optional authenticator-app two-factor authentication, security activity records and private file workflows. Customer-facing quote links are designed not to expose internal costing information.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect credentials, use appropriate workspace permissions and avoid uploading information they are not authorised to process.

Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and transaction records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and support legitimate business needs. Authorised workspace owners can use available export and deletion controls, subject to records RavQuote must retain for legal, security or billing purposes.

6. Access, correction and choices

People may request access to or correction of personal information RavQuote holds about them, subject to applicable exceptions. Account and workspace information can also be updated through available product controls.

Communications

RavQuote may send transactional messages relating to accounts, demos, quotes, security, support and subscriptions. Marketing communications, where used, should include an appropriate opt-out method unless the message is required to provide or secure the service.

Complaints

Privacy questions, correction requests or complaints can be submitted through RavQuote support or the contact details provided in the service. RavQuote will aim to respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable obligations.

7. Third-party links, changes and contact

The RavQuote website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies and are not controlled by RavQuote.

This Policy may be updated as RavQuote, its providers or legal requirements change. The effective version will be shown on this page.

Contact

Privacy enquiries can be sent through RavQuote support. The final published policy should also state the confirmed legal operator name and business contact details.

Launch note

Before public release, add the confirmed legal entity/contact details and have this policy reviewed against RavQuote’s actual production providers and applicable Australian privacy obligations.
